Call a TN certified handgun school and register. Our fee for the class is $50. You can call us at 423-727-5888 |

If you register for class you are taking up one of the limited number of seats. Be courteous and call if you cannot attend the class. |

Most people get their permit in a few weeks. Do not carry your handgun until you receive it in the mail. |

After you take the class, take your application number and $100 to the nearest Full Service Driver License Station. |

Go to https://dl.safety.tn.gov/_/#1 and click on the “Handgun Permits” tab. You will need your TN Driving License, Social Security Number and all your addresses for the past 5 years. Be sure to write down you reference/confirmation number and be prepared to print it as well when finished. Bring this number with you to the class. |

* If you are unsure of the Tennessee Certified Handgun Permit School to attend, you can complete the application first. After the application has been completed, you can get a list of schools that are in your county. Keep in mind that once you complete the application, your confirmation number is only good for 6 months. After that you will have to complete the online application again. |
